PROMISE in collaboration with the Nigerian Graduate Student Association, the UMBC Black Graduate Student Organization, and upcoming Latinx Hispanic Graduate Student Association are hosting a welcome event for graduate students from underrepresented backgrounds or underserved communities.
Who should attend?
- Students who self identify as latino, hispanic, black, african-american, native american, pacific islanders.
- Or from an underserved community, example: 1st generation student (none of your parents have a masters or PhD degree), females in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, individuals with disabilities, etc.
